One of the areas is the top of the mesa where you do have views in all directions. The mesa runs for several miles and there are homes dotted in both directions. The Prominent Pedernal is obvious as is the mountain range - Mesa Alta to the West. To the north is the Piedra Lumbre rock formations as is the Ghost Ranch area. In the distance is the Canjilon Mountains. To the east are the Sangre De Cristo mountains. Immediately below towards the west is the Rio Puerco and the vast view of the watershed toward the south and southwest. Coyote and the origination of the Rio Puerco off the San Pedro Parks Wilderness. Abiquiu lake is a few miles away for great boating and fishing. Several rivers and streams in the area for excellent fishing. In the area is the National Forest where you can ride for miles.
