Intrigued by the editor of "Nature" Magazine's statement that the Piedra Lumbre Land Grant was " The Best Place in the World" Georgia O'keefe wound up splitting her time between New York and the area where the Rio Azul Ranch is located, to find new inspiration for her art. With the exception of Lake Abiquiu, the Piedra Lumbre Land Grant much as it did hundreds of years ago.
